Flight Cards

What the app processes

You enter flights: flight number, date, airports, airline, aircraft type and optionally registration and seat. This data is stored on your device and, if you're signed in to iCloud, in your private iCloud storage at Apple. As the developer I have no access to it. There are no own servers, no user account, no ads and no tracking.

Camera and photos

The camera and photos you pick are processed on the device only, to read the barcode of your boarding pass. Images are neither stored nor transmitted. The name on the boarding pass is not stored.

Third-party lookups

To find the route and aircraft, the app sends the flight number or registration you entered to adsbdb (api.adsbdb.com). About once a month the app downloads public airport and airline lists from OurAirports (via GitHub Pages) and OpenFlights (via GitHub). For technical reasons your IP address is transmitted to these servers. No other data from the app is sent. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR (providing the feature you use).

iCloud

Syncing between your devices runs through Apple iCloud (CloudKit), subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Widgets

For the widgets the app stores a small summary of your collection locally on the device. It never leaves the device.

Deletion

Delete single flights right in the app. After deleting the app, remove its iCloud data in iPhone Settings › Apple ID › iCloud › Manage Storage.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Since I don't store any of your data, I can usually only confirm that none exists. Just write to the e-mail address above.
